With our continued efforts in supporting agricultural advances in India, we are educating University students with the kind support of Urbagrow to appreciate the importance of stabilizing a food guarantee. In a recently concluded National Seminar on “Protecting Coastal Biodiversity: Mitigating Threats to the Sundarbans Ecosystem” sponsored by the Govt. of India: Ministry of Earth Sciences, Dept. of Science and Technology and the Dept. of Biotechnology; our team of students presented a research paper on a segment of their ongoing final year MSc Biotechnology dissertation, entitled: “Aquaponics is a Solution for Modern Agriculture in India” emphasizing the need to incorporate aquaponics into the Sundarbans as a tool to create sustainability in agriculture along with habitat protection. Our team was bestowed with the young scientist award for the ongoing efforts. Stay posted for more updates!

Our aquaponics feed supplements are made from natural ingredients with zero side effects! Using pure extracts of marine algae sourced from coastal Gujarat and garlic we have effectively boosted productivity by improving both fish immunity, feed to biomass conversion, improved vegetable/crop health and providing natural antibacterial and antifungal values. Now, anyone might think that natural antibacterial properties may kill off healthy/beneficial micro-organisms which keeps your tank running smoothly.

However, the amazing news is that garlic and marine algae active components are classified as “pre-biotics”. Which means that although they have strong inhibitory action against pathogenic bacterial strains, which includes multiple drug resistant varieties; these same natural alkaloids enhance the functioning of beneficial strains of bacteria relevant to fish and plants. Which means, our solutions will help keep your beneficial bacteria to thrive. Apart from this, there are a host of antioxidants which boosts both aquatic and plant health.

The coastal Sundarbans. Our mission to provide ecological and economic protection to the coastal communities of India.

Well, for one, our aquaponics supplements have evolved from our relentless fight to create an ecologically friendly and sustainable aquaculture domain. So when you add the few drops of our effort in your aquaponics set-up, you get your peace of mind. We are constantly thinking about your harvest with the highest quality of support.

Secondly, the ornamental fish and aquatic plants trade share a decent slice of the global aquaculture cake. Most of the ornamental varieties are cultured in commercial earthen ponds in the developing world. India contributes a healthy chunk of that. Every time you buy from us, you are supporting a cause, as we keep trying to maintain a balance. Most of the local population who depend on traditional or ornamental aquaculture have nothing else to do. We help them do it better! (For more details on the sustainable global ornamental fish trade for developing countries, see http://www.fao.org/fishery/topic/13611/en). You know that the money you spend on using our products contribute directly to the ecological protection and community development of these aquaculture core domains of India.
